Our new IT strategy focuses on clear goals, efficient standards, and modern tools—for secure, future-proof, and simpler collaboration in the digital transformation.
Read moreIn a world where technology reinvents itself every year, it helps to know where you’re headed. And how to get there. That’s why we’ve developed a clear IT strategy – not as a theoretical exercise, but as a practical response to real challenges: too many tools, too many systems, too much complexity. And let’s be honest – budgets aren’t growing. If anything, even transformation must be efficient.
Sometimes transformation happens silently. Take personal drives, for example – they’ve already been migrated to the cloud in the background, with no big bang. But with big impact: secure, mobile, collaborative working – aligned with the way we want to work in the future.
“A clear vision unlocks surprising momentum – and we’re seeing it happen.”
What used to be complicated is becoming simple. What was expensive is becoming efficient.
Our 2024–2028 IT strategy is built on four clear pillars:
SAP S/4HANA becomes our core platform. Legacy systems will be phased out, and only truly differentiating custom solutions will remain.
We currently use over 300 different applications – that’s too many. Microsoft 365 and aligned add-ons will help us streamline, standardize and stay scalable.
We standardize wherever we can. Custom-built solutions will only be used when they clearly add value. The result: faster processes, reduced maintenance, better usability for everyone.
Fewer systems, fewer interfaces, less double work – that’s how we save. Our goal: cut total IT costs by 20–25%, while improving the user experience.
“We’re in the middle of the greatest technological transformation of the last decade. And just having a clear vision is already making a difference: Our strategy of focusing centrally on Microsoft is now being discussed, challenged and reflected upon—not only in IT, but across the company. And that’s exactly the point: the moment we say where we’re heading, things start moving.”
We know that change can sometimes be uncomfortable. But what we gain is worth it:
💡Unified tools mean faster onboarding, clearer processes, and better support
💡Standardization brings stability, maintainability, and security
💡Cloud services enable flexible work from anywhere
💡Less shadow IT reduces risk and increases transparency
💡More automation saves time and prevents errors
This strategy is not just an IT roadmap – it’s our joint opportunity to make IT simpler, safer and future-ready. And we invite you to join this journey. With openness. With feedback. And with a mindset ready to explore what’s next.
