From phishing and artificial intelligence to the right way to respond in the event of fraud: this year’s Hamburg-Cyber-Security-Days once again offered fascinating insights into the world of information security.
Cyberattacks have long become part of everyday life for many companies. This makes it all the more important to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and strengthen awareness of digital risks. That is exactly what the Hamburg-Cyber-Security-Days (HCSD) aimed to do for the second time.
Together with companies such as Jungheinrich, OTTO, bonprix, Körber, and Techniker Krankenkasse, we used the campaign days to raise greater awareness of cyber security, both in the workplace and in everyday private life.

From October 6 to 8, the focus was on current challenges and solutions in information security. In a total of 11 sessions – eight in German and three in English – participants gained valuable insights into topics such as:
• the impact of artificial intelligence on IT security,
• protective measures against cybercriminal attacks,
• modern encryption technologies,
• incident response and the management of security incidents,
• phising and social engineering,
• hands-on exercises for identifying and defending against cyber threats,
• cyberbullying in the workplace, and
• IT security for families.
Program highlights included presentations on deepfakes and AI-enabled fraud, crisis communication in the event of a cybersecurity incident, cybercrime, as well as the risks and opportunities of AI in a corporate environment.
How easy is it to create a convincing phishing email?
Many thanks to Paul Weinrich for organizing this fantastic initiative, and to the approximately 400 colleagues who took part! Together, we are raising awareness of information security and reducing risks in our digital day-to-day work.
