After Paris and Vienna, the Interlacing Gallery Walk now also took place in Hamburg. Employees from ten different VTG locations came together, exchanged ideas, learned from each other and asked their questions. The focus was on VTG Europe and the future direction of our business.

There were stations for these topics, at which contact persons presented the topics to their colleagues and answered questions:

Station 1: VTG Europe goes to the market – our successes

At this station, three topics were presented: Sales and Marketing Management, Fleet Services and Account Management with their successes – living VTG Europe.

Station 2: North Star: an overview of the essentials

Where do we want to go as VTG Europe? The North Star shows us the way. Here, there was an overview of VTG’s shareholder structure and the goals until 2040.

Station 3: Target Operating Model (TOM): the basics

On the way to the new structure of VTG Europe. Here, it was explained how the new structure is being created and how we will grow together in the future.

Station 4: People & Culture: how we support you

How can each individual develop so that we can help shape VTG? And how do we deal with change? Here, we were given information about which measures and programs help us to do this.

Sven Wellbrock then invited the participants to an Ask Me Anything session and answered questions from the participants. Over dinner, the participants exchanged ideas and got to know new VTG faces.

We have collected impressions of the two days for you here.Last week the third Gallery Walk took place in Hamburg. An impression of the mood.

“For me, the gallery walk wasn’t just a long-awaited ‘get together’ with a lot of colleagues. I’m especially excited to see how we will all grow and develop during the ‘North Star’ project. The gallery walk has piqued my curiosity about how we will achieve our ambitious goals – along with all the associated challenges – by 2040. We definitely have an exciting time ahead of us. The gallery walk was held in a beautiful setting that also gave us a chance to have face-to-face interactions with a lot of different parts of the company, including the Executive Board. It was a terrific and informative event!

There was enough time for questions and input from the participants. The exchange was particularly important to get a feel for the mood of the participants.
“The gallery walk through Region Northern Germany gave me an opportunity to gain better insights into TOM, interlacing and how VTG Europe is coalescing. Many thanks to my extremely dedicated colleagues, who provided us with a fantastic overview. Since we, as Tanktainer, will also become a member of VTG Europe at a later stage, the exchange was very helpful and the networking really good and important. The event was a complete success – and very well invested time for the future!”

“This was an all-round successful event, and it gave me a good overview of a range of current issues at VTG Europe.I found the cross-departmental and -country interaction the most refreshing part, and it stimulated fresh ideas that will be addressed in the near future. I’d be happy to see more events like this going forward.”
Lucas Kühnert
“I just returned after a year of parental leave, and I found it to be an informative and motivating re-entry. For me personally, it was very interesting to see what has already been accomplished in this brief period of lived interlacing, especially at Station 1.”
