The conference rooms became medical rooms: In February, the first VTG blood donation campaign took place in Hamburg.
The German Red Cross came to us at Nagelsweg with medical staff, patient couches and food. For four hours, employees were able to donate blood and do good. Around 50 employees took part.
“Statistically, two out of three people are themselves dependent on a blood product once in their lifetime. It is therefore important that there are enough people who voluntarily donate blood so that the supply can be maintained at all times. We are happy that we were able to come to VTG today with our team and that so many volunteers participated in the campaign. Please feel free to continue donating blood – you are making a difference!”

How useful a blood donation is
In the laboratory, the blood donation is divided into three components: Erythrocytes, thrombocytes and blood plasma. Thus, one blood donation can theoretically save three human lives!
