„My job in three words: business trips, communication, norms!“
What are your tasks at VTG?
• Implementation of new build orders with the manufacturer, currently especially Turkey projects
• Work to ensure that the wagons are produced on time and in accordance with the standards
• Act as a link between the customer or asset segment and the manufacturer
What are challenges in your daily work?
As a young professional, the big challenge for me is, of course, to familiarise myself with the entire set of railway rules and regulations, as well as the company’s internal rules and regulations. And then to reproduce what I have learned in Turkish!
Your coolest project or experience at VTG so far:
Apart from the impressions I have gathered on many business trips, I particularly enjoyed the visit to our colleagues in Elze, because there I was able to see how a long-standing and set tanker production runs and was offered many opportunities to talk to colleagues from production. Soon I will be visiting the maintenance workshop in Brühl with my colleagues. I am curious!
What do you do when you’re not working?
Away from work, I am still busy moving and adjusting to work life in general. I used to pursue different hobbies like acting, athletics, yoga… What I decide to do next, once the daily routine has settled, is still open. I will gladly accept suggestions! 😉
Apart from that, I also enjoy socialising. With pleasure also with new colleagues!
Who should introduce themselves next in the ON TRACK?
Since 9 out of 10 introductions so far have come from Hamburg, it’s time for a change. That’s why I propose Bernd Vogt!
