We want to hear from you: since September 10, you have been able to submit your feedback in this year's VTG employee survey, MY VOICE. You can find out more about the key topics and the evaluation of the survey here.
Read moreMany of you have already taken part, and all others have until October 1: We are, of course, talking about MY VOICE 2024, where you can once again give your opinion on everything that moves VTG. In the following, Anne Seidel and Christine Ruhnke, who are responsible for implementing MY VOICE, provide more insights into the key topics of the survey and the evaluation process.
Christine: This year’s MY VOICE has been running since September 10…
Anne: … and we are pleased that so many colleagues have already cast their votes! In any case, we are already looking forward to the results.
Christine: Absolutely! And to help us systematically track developments in the organization compared to last year, we are again asking about the fundamental priorities from last year’s survey.
Anne: There are ten key topics in total. Some of them are to be expected in a survey like this, such as the aspect of “satisfaction and commitment”. Of course, we want to know how satisfied our colleagues are with their work and their working environment.
“In any case, we are already looking forward to the results.“
Christine: Or “trust in leadership”. Here we want to know whether the appropriate structures for effective work in your teams are being created by the managers and the management. Do you trust them? It is also about our colleagues’ understanding of the strategy.
Anne: Right! This is especially important at the moment – in the midst of the transformation. So: Do all employees understand VTG’s goals? Do they know how their individual work contributes to these goals?
Christine: We are asking about a wide range of topics and look forward to a colorful mix of answers.
Anne: Exactly! Participation is still possible until October 1. And then it’s all about working with the results.
Key topics of MY VOICE 2024:
Satisfaction and commitment, understanding of strategy, trust in leadership, empowerment, culture of innovation, responsibility and transparency, professional development, infrastructure and collaboration, diversity, equal treatment and inclusion and sustainability.
Christine: Fortunately, with Netconomy, we have an experienced external implementation partner at our side who will provide us with the results in clear dashboards after the end of the survey.
Anne: There will be two dashboards in total. The first is the “Company page overall results”. This shows the results for VTG as a whole. The “Individual results” dashboard, on the other hand, shows the responses from the respective teams.
Christine: And to make sure that the teams can quickly start working on their own results, we are trying to make the dashboards available as quickly as possible.
Anne: Exactly. All teams should have access to their dashboards during the second week of October, so that they can start their evaluation immediately, just like last year. So: analyze your results, determine what is going well and identify and implement any action that needs to be taken.
“We recommend that teams focus on fewer points that can lead to noticeable changes.“
Christine: In the past, we have often found that teams tend to come up with too many and unrealistic action plans. That’s why we always recommend focusing on a few points that can lead to noticeable changes.
Anne: That’s right, good point. We have also seen that teams whose results have been poor have struggled with this. Hence our tip: Find out what is going well despite everything and build on that. Then decide which changes are most important for your team now and will help you most in your day-to-day work. Then focus on implementing exactly these measures.
Christine: Right! And always remember: it’s not so much about the results per se…
Anne: …but rather what you do with them! And again: this week and until October 1, the most important thing is that you take part in the survey so that you have a good working basis in your team.
The clock is ticking: You still have time until October 1 to provide feedback and help shape the future of VTG. Join in with MY VOICE 2024!
