“Mosaic” is the name that has been given to the project aimed at introducing SAP SuccessFactors (SAP-SF) at VTG. Below, you can learn about all the benefits this tool has to offer us as well as when and how it will be rolled out.

SAP SuccessFactors (SAP-SF) is a cloud-based software that will accompany every employee on their entire journey through the company from now on. A digital recruiting tool that forwards the data internally to the central HR database, a digital PDD process, a centrally connected learning tool – all this and much more lies ahead for us.
The Employee Central module, which will kick off the multi-phase introduction of SAP-SF, will become VTG’s internal database for personnel data. All of the other modules, which will be gradually introduced over the next three years, will be fed from this first module. “Ultimately, SAP-SF is meant to support everyone in the company,” emphasizes Sascha Seel, Manager People, Organizations and Culture Development. “It’s a system for VTG as a whole – and especially for the people at VTG.”

Advantages big and small
“What he means by that is that a lot of things will become simpler.”. For example, employees will be able to view their own master data and make any changes themselves, such as when they change addresses or account numbers. Having organizational charts displaying the structures and responsibilities within VTG will help streamline processes – and bring VTG even closer together.
In the VIBES space Human Resources you will find information on current projects and the HR strategy. The department also presents itself.
What’s more, managers will be able to access current data easily and directly via SAP-SF, which will simplify reporting and help them make personnel-relating decisions. This will also include digitizing the process for the annual PDD talks and redesigning it at the same time.
“We hope to see a lot of improvements in terms of staff development and talent management,” Sascha explains. “And overall, every individual – and therefore VTG as a whole – will also benefit from the fact that having this kind of standardized system will enhance data privacy and protection as well as data quality.”
Step by step
To date, personnel data at VTG has been managed using multiple systems, and it has generally been impossible to exchange or directly compare data – and certainly not across locations, as the differences from one location to the next can be considerable. Now we will need to consolidate the local solutions into a uniform system landscape that also takes local needs into account – which will be no easy task. “To us, it’s important that all locations and workshops are brought on board and involved in the system’s introduction, such as through workshops,” Sascha says.
